Santiago de Chile, November 14 and 15, 2023
The Montevideo Consensus is the most important intergovernmental treaty in Latin America and the Caribbean on population and development, and it represents the regional expression of the follow-up to the Cairo Programme of Action after 2014.
This year, marking the tenth anniversary of its entry into force, the Fifth Meeting of the Executive Board of the Regional Conference on Population and Development of Latin America and the Caribbean was held, an extraordinary session.
Members of our organization participated in the event, specifically Roger (Ecuador), Belén (Argentina), and Sara (Chile), who were representing the consortium’s needs in this space. Additionally, they were part of the organization of the youth forum and the activities prior to the in-person event aimed at generating inputs for the drafting of the youth declaration and the roadmap on this subject at a regional level.
Below we share with you the declaration of the youth on the anniversary of Montevideo+10.
