We were born in response to the need to create a space for exclusive strategic coordination among and for adolescents and young people, which allows us to take actions in favor of the needs and priorities of adolescents and youth from an intersectional point of view.
This space emerged during the year 2021 within the framework of the project “Consortium of youth organizations from an Intersectionality perspective in Latin America and the Caribbean,” supported by UNAIDS LAC and EWEC (Every Woman, Every Child). This project aimed to respond to the need to create a space for exclusive strategic coordination among organizations for and by adolescents and young people.
We dedicate ourselves to unifying the diverse youth into a dynamic network that highlights and addresses the specific agendas, needs, and priorities of adolescence and youth. We challenge the adult-centric mindset rooted in decision-making spaces, strengthening collective struggles and building a solid and representative network. We work tirelessly to promote and defend the rights of adolescents and young people, actively seeking spaces for struggle where our voices are heard and our demands translate into concrete actions.
We envision ourselves as a leading network with a presence in various countries and territories of Latin America and the Caribbean. We have forged strong and capable alliances, consolidating ourselves as a unified force that exerts a marked political influence. We imagine a future in which adolescents and youth, through our network, play a fundamental role in the construction of just, inclusive, and sustainable societies.
